I have hundreds of Monarch caterpillars eating my tuberosa as we speak -
and some near done with their pupation and ready to become butterflies. 
The neighbor kids laugh when they see the monarchs sitting on my hair
while I weed the garden - they call me the *butterfly lady.*  I've also
discovered American Painted Lady caterpillars, and have set aside a few
of them while they pupate.  Nothing quite as beautiful or satisfying as
an emerging butterfly - and the knowledge that my garden helped them
grow!
