I've got very similar places around/between my greenhouse and garage----I
didn't plan this but I've got the purple/green/silver transescantia growing
like crazy back there. I or my children had simply tossed a few throw aways
over there and it took off - no weeds :o) It is actually very pretty. By
mid summer it is very lush and begins to trail up the garage. Just when I
think it is getting out of hand - winter comes and puts it in check....it
never goes away completely, but does go semi-dormant. If in the summer I
feel that it is getting a bit too aggressive my husband simply takes the weed
wacker to it.
