Hi Betty, I have several trees, Redbud and Dogwood, showing the same
symptoms. The leaves didn't yellow at all before wilting as they have done
before when a pathogen is the culprit. IS watering at this time harmful?
I know that when the lavenders start sagging under
the heat it can be fatal to over water them, but I wouldn't think that the
root system of a tree as old as your Dogwood would suffer from the watering.
What's the real story? I'll check with our
extension agent on this, too. Holly Zone 8
