Yes, I believe you have. Mealybugs are not scales, although some species of
mealybugs look like scales and are often confused with sales.
Once mealybug nymphs produce the waxy coating they are difficult to control
because the wax protects them. They have several generations of young a year,
so the problem is continuous. In the garden, ladybugs can keep them under
