Re:OT: holiday cooking/ Catalogs

Hello again, all you gardeners with taunt bellybuttons......
While on the subject of both food and catalogs... is anyone receiving
those slick gourmet catalogs that have the photos of complete dinners that
can be shipped to your home and stuck in the microwave? We seem to have hit
a new or different level on catalogs here. All kinds of gourmet meals,
meats, seafood, fruit. Sometimes all in one catalog, but mostly highly
specialized. Wonderful a cook as my wife is, I am tempted by these overly
expensive presentations.
Just now realizing why I stopped all catalogs such as this from coming
into my life about 10 years ago when I went into one of those keep it simple
modes. Over the past few years they seem to have crept back into our lives
here. Perhaps due to one of us giving in to temptation and actually ordering
something????
