Hello Marilyn,
Probably have mentioned this in the past, but one of the best designs I
have had in my garden with bulbs was with a small tulip called "Red
Riddinghood". Small tulip with wide leaves having red markings and bright
red blooms. I had the bulbs planted in a drift of Jacobs Ladder with the
fern-like foliage and soft blue and white blooms. All this was on a hillside
and corner of two paths meeting under a Japanese bloodgood maple. I need to
go back and do that one again someplace. I lost my maple some years back and
the tulip gradually sputtered out.
