It's not dirt...Its planting media, made mostly from composed forest by
product. We have dirt all over.
We don't have to buy dirt........PLANTING MEDIA we have to buy for the good
of the garden.

nah, I married a city boy, no concept at all!
BUT - I will use the phrase next time I need a bag or two!

The thing that drives my husband craziest is that I seek out sources
of animal waste and bring it HOME. What is wrong with chemical
fertilizers? he asks....
After that, buying "dirt" makes him nuts...Along with composting and
collecting the kitchen waste and feeding it to the composter all
winter long!
