Hi Kitty,

It looks like McClure & Zimmerman (mzbulb.com) has Allium flavum.

Phoenix perennials (mailorder.phoenixperennials.com) seems to have Allium
carinatum ssp. pulchellum (including forma album), but I couldn't find the
straight species anyhwere.

I'm also finding it very difficult to locate plants that I thought were
common. I feel like it's due to Proven Winners/Spring Hill/Monrovia making
things into a monoculture -- many nurseries find it easier to just order the
plants from those sources from their limited selections instead of adding
more variety and growing things on from seed, cuttings, etc. Quite a few are
now nothing more than distribution centers. The other problem is many of the
smaller, more interesting nurseries closing for various reasons. We lost Joy
Creek, Munchkin, Crownsville, Heronswood, and many more that I can't think of
right now.

I was thrilled to rediscover Geraniaceae.com the other day. I had forgotten
all about them, but they turned up in a search for a less common plant. I
ended up buying 14 different geraniums. :D

Chris
