I am on the far tail of the individual vs mass planting curve. I
have over 700 different perennials in my yard and other than having
an alba form in addition to the standard form; I only a couple of
plants where I have more than one plant/clump of any given species.
I want one of everything! The first thing I ask when I visit a new
nursery is what they have that is unusual or that they think that
they have that other nurseries don't have - this works out pretty
well; now when I return; the staff knows to take me straight to
the new stuff. This saves me some time which is great since I
frequently visit 8-12 nurseries in a single day on a couple of
my nursery loops.
I can't wait for spring to get here so I can start looking for this
year's additions - it's like a treasure hunt.
I know it's way too soon to start anticipating spring but happy
green anyway.
