I agree with you. I love the look of mass plantings but I like variety and I
love new things so, I end up having a little bit of everything. I think
sometimes I am in way over my head, but I like it that way and to me that is
the purpose of gardening to begin with--for pleasure. If something doesn't
work, I just move it or chuck it in the compost bin and start over again. The
best thing is to sit back and see the fruits of your labors and for me variety
in my perennials fills the bill.
