I've had Acaena microphylla "Kupferteppich" (Copper carpet?) for 3
years, and it's done reasonably well here in zone 4/5 with no special
protection. Looks dead in the spring, but comes back. It spreads, but
slowly. I like it and its spikey round red seedheads
Crocosmia 'Lucifer' has done very well and multiplied against the
house foundation in a warm spot. Spider mites can be a problem.
