RE: Rose campion/snow-in-summer


I grow rose campion.  And it does grow.  My clay is heavy enough that the
plants seem happier with the better drainage just a bit of elevation
provides.  Have you tried raised beds, in an area somewhat exposed to winds?

Too, you might try someplace with an eastern exposure so that the leaves
will dry off asap in the morning and the plants won't have to contend with
high summer's afternoon double whammy of heat and humidity.  ...just one
more time.  :)
