My
rambling Fairy Rose kept blooming until about a week ago along with my normal
fall blooming plants. The big surprise is my Azaleas. I transplanted them this
fall. I think the combination of transplant shock with temperature fluctuations
has made them sporadically blossom.
So far
it has been one blossom per plant. At first I thought someone had left a piece
of paper on my plant. I approached to find a perfectly normal full blossom.
However, they don't seem to last as long as when they blossom in the spring as
they should.

Subject: Re: Still bloomingCan't believe that I actually went out and picked four roses and a yellow reblooming iris today. It's December 9th! The iris smells absolutely devine.Iberis is blooming as is the Scabiosa columbaria 'Butterfly Blue'. But what's new? That little charmer has bloomed it heart out this year. The purple reblooming iris are still blooming as is Dicentra exemia and Hieracium maculatum (hawkweed). My yellow buddleia is also still going strong. Helleborus foetidus is starting to bud up.Just can't believe that it is almost Christmas.Speaking of hellebores, I am curious how others feed them throughout the year. I know they are voracious feeders, but I haven't found a lot about how quench their appetites.Ginny in PA
