I have grown this plant. it is a good self sower with a very long blooming
time from early mid summer to fall. The plants are lax growing and do best as
a collection. It's a great filler around shrubs. It is drought tolerant and
long lived compared some of it's relatives.  I have had do problem over
wintering them in zone 4.  If you start them very early it should bloom the
first year.
