T&T Seeds sells a Kiwi that they say is hardy to Canadian zone 3 and
produces fruit. I don't know about the zone 3 bit but I think, Sheila,
that you would be able to grow these just fine in zone 5. The catalogue
also says that the flowers have a fragrance like Lily-of-the-Valley.
They sell both male and female plants and recommend that people buy 2
female and 1 male. You can buy single plants for $8.95 CAN each or the 2
female/1 male collection for $23.95 CAN.
T&T doesn't have their catalogue online but you can request it on their
website at http://www.ttseeds.mb.ca/ .
Hope this helps.
