The Victoria Blue salvia farinaccea is a wonderful plant and I always buy a
flat of them. sometimes they even live over and occasionally they have
self-seeded. In your Kentucky zone you may even have more live over than we
do in Cincinnati. I love these plants, especially the navy blue stems of the
flowers. They're good cut flowers too. I think there's also a white one and
another that is both blue and white, although I prefer the all blue. Great
companion with yellow marigolds too. Try some of those new Profusion
Zinnias, too, (yes I know it's an annual). Very impressive.
Do you have any luck with penstemons in your area? Some great colors
available.
