if you are hiding a jasmine that can be overwintered in the ground I
would like to know about it. >>

Well - I'm not actually "hiding" it, but I can't promise you that it will
survive your winter. I know that in my zone 9 and Pam's (murfsmomma) zone 8
that it remains an evergreen. Pam is only 45 minutes north of me but can
receive as much as a 10 degree difference when the winter storms come our
way. I will say that these jasmine have taken one of our "hard" winters with
no protection other than what the house provides. And I will say that they
grow beautifully in the summer with shady conditions. Maybe it will take a
winter for you if is sheltered by trees or your home but I won't promise
anything. The pink jasmine only blooms once a year but is well worth it
because of the sweet fragrance. I've had it bloom all the way through the
month of April (when we had a cool spring).
If you find it and it's not over $8 for a gallon, I would say it would be
worth a try.
Happy Gardening
