Barb:
    It really is just a matter of time.  Although you can use fresh to make
manure tea.  Just soak in a  bucket of water and use the water for
fertilizer.  Other than that, it needs to be well rotted and mixing it in
with soil and other compost is I guess the best way.  IMHO.
