Do you have a lawn mower with a bagger? We use ours in the fall to chop and
collect the leaves all at once. And for the places the lawn mower won't go,
we have a leaf blower/vacuum that sucks up and chops the leaves. It's a
little more labor-intensive than the mower, but works well. As for other
materials, kitchen scraps, weeds, etc. if they are green they tend to break
down fairly quickly when layered in with the leaves.
