crocus


	Thanks so much, Chris, for your great crocus photos!  I've got a
cheerful desktop as a result.
	In the garden, the species crocus and the Dutch hybrids are both up
and open at the same time and a good deal earlier than most Midwestern
springs.  Deep purple reticulata iris are also open in the raised beds and
snowdrops, winter aconite, and blue blanda anemone in the shade beds.
	Of course, these are all bulbs. The first perennial in bloom for me
is the lovely yellow adonis.  I should check on the hellebores soon
though... What's blooming for all of you gardeners on the list?
