WOW, I've never noticed any
of mine doing that. Most of my cultivars I've only had for 1 or 2 years,
but I've had Palace Purple, Garnet, and a green folliage one from my
Grandma since 1994, and Velvet Night since 1997.
I made a note to go and
look more carefully at mine now after the snow melts....no time
soon!
