Susan and others - I also have trouble getting many varieties of California poppy to germinate. For 2002, I am determined to "sprinkle them on the snow" in my asparagus bed as I have read one is supposed to do. But how early? I have Eschcholia californica and
papaver rhoeas (single and double). I live NW of Chicago in a 5A zone and would appreciate any advice you-all can offer.
