Re: Making Rose Labels for Rose Tour

Hi Don,

They are 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" white ceramic tiles. I located them at a discount
tile warehouse here in Phoenix. Out of the goodness of their heart, they set
me up with a contractor account so that I was able to purchase them at
contractor rates.

I received many offers of tile by going to local tile distributor web sites (I
did a search on google). I then chose the best price. I also placed adds on
local "classified adds" web sites, but did not receive many offers via that
route.

The plants will be affixed in a couple of different ways. On roses on arbors
I plan to attach the tile to the arbor with silicon adhesive. If you look at
my web site, most of my roses have cement or cobble stone borders. In that
case the tiles will be affixed to the borders with silicon adhesive. Finally,
for those roses in the back of a rose bed, or where there are no borders, I am
going to glue (with silicon adhesive) the tile to a 1" pvc pipe about 3 inches
long at the upper most point of the tile so that the tile will be pointed
toward the on-lookers.
