Claire, we actually have a few kids in the neighborhood who like to play in
the creek that borders our property. And I encountered a couple young boys
one day who were hunting for salamanders under rocks in the creek--and
finding quite a few. And I have a nephew who practically lives in the woods
behind his house in the summer. But I agree that it seems rare these
days--nature just doesn't appeal the way television, electronic games, and
computers do.
