Yes, that's why I get the digest - it does say perennials in the "who from" line.
My hellebores look great after only a couple of years. They are huge and blooming their heads off. Not having any more room in the yard unless I can convince SO to downsize the grass, I will try to plant small stuff this year even though I'm 6 feet tall and REALLY like great big plants! More epimediums! And maybe I will try some of the orange things you mentioned too. I planted a Crocosmia Lucifer in the raised bed last year and am looking forward to seeing how it does this year after overwintering. Also the iris and daylily bed I moved bodily last year, I'll be looking to see if it does better this year. Forgot to dig my dahlia before it froze, so I guess I will get some more this year, maybe taller ones, those that have the dinner plate flowers. And a canna with orange flowers and variegated leaves. And I see I have gotten off subject of perennials. It's easy to do this time of year, with all the possibilities before us!
