Re: is this list still here?/ Most impressive plant

Hello Teresa,
Last summer I purchased Pee Wee which gets about 3 to 4 feet height and around in 10 years. Right now I see that the resident rabbits have pruned it for me over late winter. Sikes Dwarf is next up in the garden. Will be transplanting it this spring... have it in a container here now. It gets only 2 to 3 feet in height but can reach 4 feet across. This summer I intend to transplant 3 of the new Little Honey cultivars to the garden. Foliage is a soft yellow gets about the same size as Pew Wee which is its parent.
That is my list of must haves for this year.

Dwarf forms?? How small do these stay? Any favorites you might recommend?

Hello Donna,
I remain most impressed with my oak leaf hydrangea. Probably about 5 years old now. Bloomed from the first year. This is truly a 4 season shrub that I tread like a large perennial. In the winter it is all texture and various shades of cinnamon. Spring the new foliage and large white blooms that go so well with the late spring ephemerals and early summer perennials. Blooms age all through the summer from white to pink to tan and finally to cinnamon as fall arrives and the foliage turns that deep lustrous burgundy.
Can't imagine my garden without it now and began adding more cultivars last spring. Very interested in the dwarf forms.
