Which Russian Sage do you have and how tall does it grow?
I have had a lavender her in zone 5 for the past 5 or 6 years and it does
great. A couple of winters ago I had to cut it back a lot as it suffered
from a lot of die back, but it came back nice and bushy. Now my Perovska
haven't done as well, but I think that the soil wasn't right. I tried
them again last year and amended th soil with sand. We'll see how they
are this summer. So far they look OK, but it has been a mild winter and
it's not over yet!
