Judging by your posts, I suspect that I wrote lily" but meant "iris."
I am going to assume I am talking about the "Iris Siberica." What can
anyone tell me about it?

Please take a photo of lily when it blooms. I've never heard of this
lily so would be interested to see what it looks like.
Sibiricae are the 11 beardless species iris, so I wonder about your lily.

Any description of the plant or flower? A lot of things with the common
name lily aren't lilies at all. I have gone through my books and can't find
any lily with a variation on Siberican.
Scarborough Lily was the closest, 6 petaled red flowers on a 1-2' plant.
Does that sound like it?
