Re: irrigation

I have used a dripper hose in a side plot that has worked great! I have
emptied out the hose when it gets to frost time, and store in garage. Lug it
out in spring time, no plugs so far, it is about 100 ft long. I have increased
the pressure in the hose, and it does squirt high! Flood time, instead of a
gentle watering!
Just barely turning on the water for about 3 hours gives a great soak. In hot
summer with no rain, only have to soak about 2-3 times per week. Turn it on
about 6 am till I leave for work at 9 am, no mold has set up for the time I
have been using it. Purple coneflowers and zinnias and mums have done much
better! Small rose bush did NOT get black spot this year! Can I attribute
that to my soaker hose too???
This spring, will set up a shorter hose for the front bed, LOVE IT!
