Thanks for your watering schedule, Nan. This gives me a good starting
point.
And for others interested, I also contacted the National Gardening
Assoc. with the same irrigation questions. They responded that drip
irrigation is a very popular system for perennial beds. It is also
recommended over the micro sprinkler method for purposes of efficiency
and disease resistance. While some people bury the leaky hose, which is
one type of drip irrigation, laying the hose on top of the soil and
below the mulch is preferable.
