Margaret, Thanks for your help on irrigation.
You mention that sprinkling the black-eyed susan late in the
afternoon might be the cause of the mildew. I think you're right. But
if I go to drip irrigation, that would eliminate that.
They recommend blowing out the lines in preparation for our
freezing winters. We have an air compressor which should work for this.
