Nan, two nurseries I visited when I was in the Portland area last fall are
Hedgerows Nursery (can't tell you where exactly this is as I was driven to
it--somewhere in the wine area I think) and Collectors Nursery (just a little
north of the Portland Airport, about a 20 minute drive--call them ahead of
time and hope they have time to give you a tour of their own gardens). Look
at Collectors Nursery's web site at: http://www.collectorsnursery.com for
address and phone number information. There are so many nurseries in the
Portland area, not to mention the rest of Oregon, that I truly envy you that
trip. And of course if lyou get to Seattle area don't forget Heronswood.
