I would recommend visiting the State or National Park of Darlingtonia
Calif  (cobra lilly) just north of Newport.   If I remember correctly,
it next to Otter Rock.  You should stop and see this natural park. 
This is the most northern species of Darlingtonia. You should see it
in its natural habitat.  I think the park is only 5 acers and it is
free.  It is on the Eastern side of Highway 101 and not more than 200
yards from the road.
