What a nice message.
A beautiful day here in Clearwater with temperatures to be in the mid
70s. I just wandered the yard checking on my hibiscus, pepper and
tomatillo plants.
Mainly, I was curious about when I'll be seeing some first blooms from
some new hibiscus seedlings that came from crosses of a year ago. If the
weather stays mild, it looks some buds will mature and open w/in the next
two weeks. This can be _really_ exciting, since when you cross a brown
variety with a lavender one (for example), you don't know what the
seedlings look like until that first bloom gives you a hint.
Happy gardening in '00,
Tom Miller

The hibiscus is probably the most popular flowering
bush in yards in the St. Pete/Tampa area.
