Chelsea Show and Europe

I can't believe it---I get to go to the Chelsea garden show this year, 
including a trip to France, Italy, Austria and Germany!  I have been doing a 
lot of research but haven't been able to find much information about 
Botanical interests in these countries, except for the names.  Through 
internet research I have found the names of about 162 botanical gardens in 
these countries, but I can't find any other information about them.  I will 
only get to go to a few of them, and I definitely want to go to the best 
ones.  So, I'm going to my garden lists hoping to get first hand information! 
 Does anyone know of some "not-to-miss" gardens/arboretums/botanical sites in 
this area?  This is a once in a lifetime trip for me, so any info would 
really be appreciated.
