Hi Mea,
Apparently there's already a list at onelist.com:
http://www.egroups.com/group/annuals/info.html
Unfortunately, it's hosted by the evil egroups.com (aka findmail.com),
so I'll never subscribe.
But despite what I said earlier, I don't think that I'll host an annuals
list at Mallorn unless the egroups one doesn't take off. There seems
to be a trend in the online horticultural community to splinter off
and form little cliques / discussion groups all over the Internet, and
I think it's really hurting things. As list topics get more specific
(or duplicated) the number of subscribers to each list decreases,
so the overall knowledge base that's available to subscribers also shrinks.
I don't want to be party to the obfuscation of online resources...
Chris
