Thanks Louis....I figured that half day sun where you are would sure
work here where it gets so much hotter:-) I know this plant is not a
heat lover, really, but have lusted after it for years and years.
Tried one Rheum...can't remember which now..and had good germination
but lost the seedlings in the heat of our summer and they were about
a foot tall as I recall..was quite sad about that. Notice Heronswood
is selling it in a 2" pot and would really like to find a plant that
was larger and more on the East Coast:-) May end up trying for seed
again. See it is also on the NARGS seed list.
Have you ever grown any Veratrum species? Another I've long tried
for - Heronswood also has some of these. Have tried seed a few times
with little success. Also another that really prefers a cooler clime
than mine, but, what the hey...ya' hafta live dangerously
sometimes:-)
