I tried to look at your diagram but the site was temporarily
unavailable. Will try later.

I got a cable for Christmas and I too am wondering what to do with it.
It is 17 feet long and I don't know what to put it in. The parallel
runs should be at least 4" apart, can't touch or overlap, shouldn't be
closer than 2" from the sides. The thermostat bulb is supposed to be
3-6" from the edge of the planting bed. I only want to start a small
number of seeds but my house is too cool for germination of a lot of
seeds, so I thought this would be a good idea. Now I'm wondering how I
can use it. Could I lay it in one tray and then go up over the edge and
continue in another tray?

Since the heat is probably just needed for germination, I suppose that
I could build a long tray out of wood, about 3" deep, and then
transplant to 4-packs for growing. Is this what people do?

I'm a real beginner at this and would appreciate any ideas about how to
set this up.

Thanks,
Nancy
