Hi Lillian, Thanks for the information. It sounds like a terrific plant for
the rockery - low and wide. One of our gardening gurus was on the local
garden talk radio show over the weekend and mentioned that she grows Correa
in her garden here (zone 8) with no problem. She also mentioned a yellow
flowered species. I need to make contact with her because by the time I
found a pen and paper, I had forgotten the species name :(. A brain is a
terrible thing to lose....

Hi Marilyn,
My only reference is for Correa pulchella, Austrailian Fuchsia. Says zones 9
& 10. Drought tolerant once established, low dense evergreen shrub grows to
8 feet wide, 2 - 3 feet high. Pink flowers look great in my picture. Says to
plant in poor well drained soil, preferably alkaline,in full to part sun.
Cautions that over watering and /or over fertilizing will kill it. Doesn't
have a hope for me here in z 6 but sure looks nice.
