Another method from Trevor Bath & Joy Jones "Hardy Geraniums" is to snip the tip off
the rostrum (the "beak"). This stops the seed from ejecting to who knows where. I
haven't needed enough seed to try this method myself but I can see that it might work
out especially if you are making specific crosses and don't want to loose your work.
