Try rbg.com for the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton. They are really
good about responding to questions. The plant sale held in the spring by the
Auxilliary is great and they have inspectors on hand for those who visit
from the U.S.

I, too, have seen those beech hedges in England. I have one suggestion.
Youmight write the Royal Horticultural Gardens in Hamilton, Ontario. They
have a hedge trial garden and probably have some kind of beech hedge there.
I was there a few years ago and recall it as being very extensive. There is
probably a website and and you might be able to write directly to them. In
the summer months, there are horticulturists on the grounds and it is easy
to
get answers.
