This is funny. My Nelly has never had wilt, but my Venosa Violecea, a vitacella, has several times, as has Victoria.

Yes, I agree, Nelly Moser if the worst for wilt, but she is such a beauty.
I have moved her 3 times! C. durandii and Betty Corning are outrageously
beautiful blues...my favorite color.

Marilyn, I have many clematis and have experienced the wilt only with Nelly
A couple of very favorite clematis I have are 'Durandii' ( a large blue
blooming shrub which blooms continually) and 'Betty Corning' ( a viticella
small blue/purple bell shape bloom).
