Yes, that is why we southerners look so riduculous to the normally snowy part 
of the country, we are paralyzed when the slightest bit of snow falls because 
it is not financially feasible to keep around all that idle equipment for a day 
or two a year's use.

Well, we got 6 or 7 inches here in Nashville and it didn't get above freezing 
for a week, so all that snow is still here and just now starting to melt.  My 
grocery store is in walking distance, so I got my groceries and exercise at the 
same time.  They plowed and salted the interstates and main 4-lanes, but it 
came down so fast there were "parking lots" miles long for days till everyone 
could be dug out.

I am glad for the snow blanket on the plants, though.  I had some late planted 
hellebores and epimedium that might not have been too happy with the sudden 
cold (zero or below at night) in one of our normal open winters.
