Good Morning Gale:
Yes, my son who lives down Yonder outside Nashville called me the morning of
your snow. Said he felt like he was back home in Pennsylvania. hee hee He
lives only a few minutes from Nashville where he works so was happy it
didn't take him long to get home. Now today, we've had a little snow storm.
Nothing to get excited about and am happy that the plants have this covering
over them since it is really cold here today.
Sure am getting itchy feet to get out and plant some cold frames. Does
anyone have suggestions (or unusual perennials) that would look good in
drifts besides pink cone flower, phlox or daisies? I have lots of beds of
the cone flowers and these are easy to give away to friends and people who
stop to chat about my garden. Did I see somewhere that there is a new cone
flower which is doubled flowering? Still have lots of plants that I didn't
get planted in the Fall. Picked up some seed packets 40% off which is a
good deal. Too early to plant them indoors yet as I don't have space for
the new seedlings. Any perennials which are blue for suggestions to plant
in drifts?
