Not that I can recall though the literature frequently mentions scent and
clove pinks is a term I have read. I am working my way through the long
NARGS list of species Dianthus and have no recollection of any scented
plants. I will now sniff them as they bloom and try to remember your
question. For anyone trying Dianthus, it is any easy germinator. Does not
do well in low pH soil, needs sharp drainage to live a few years.
