Re: Overwintering Lavender


Lurker here, chiming in.  Remember that lavender roots readily from
cuttings, so be sure to pot some up in mid to late summer.  I like them to
be semi-ripe wood.  When I lived in Wisconsin, I kept them inside over the
winter and planted them out under a cloche (inverted mason jar) in May.
Here, I just stick them in the dirt.  I replace lavender in my garden every
three years so that they'll keep fitting in their alloted space (smaller
town garden).
