Pamela Crawford has written a series of books on gardening in Florida - not sure if they cover all of Florida or only south florida - My interest was southwest Florida, and I found them to be a great resource! (not sure what zone Daytona is - maybe 9a ???). Tell her to check the library - they should have them or be able to get them via interlibrary loan. Check out "Best Garden Color for Florida" or if she's interested in containers, there's a good book on container gardening as well. (take a look on Amazon just to get a sense of what's in the book)

Hello all,My sister-in-law just moved into a new development in Florida near Daytona. She has a clean slate to work with, but has never gardened before. Can yourecommend some good books to get her started? I am hoping for something specific to southern/tropical gardening. Because I've always lived in the northeast, I've always ignored books and articles on that subject. Thank you for your help.
