I want to second that. Get all the organic stuff you can. Another
thing you should look at closely is drainage. All that clay will hold
water forever in the winter, and then turn into concrete in the summer.
I have a flower bed that doesn't drain well, and I haven't been able to
correct it. I don't think I have grown anything there that has survived
for more than one winter, with the exception of a tough gardenia.
Good luck, though. How exciting; a fresh, new garden that can be
whatever you want!
