Cannas are like WEEDS. Depends on which canna variety you wish to have
-- many are readily available at garden stores in the summer and perk
right up. If you want the newest hybrids, Tropicanna (TM) is the one to
look for -- available wholesale thru Monrovia ($25!). C. iridiflora
rubra is a monster for me, and any of the Pfitzer series are wonderful.

They can take quite a bit of abuse so unless they are rotting I'd buy
them bare root from a local nursery. If you cannot find them there, as
others have suggested, there is Plumeria People -- I even think Plant
Delights in NC carries some. Kelly's Plant World in CA carries many,
but they tend to be expensive.

Also, if you know what you want, and can be patient a bit, I could dig
and give you some tubers. Right now I don't want to dig them because
it's too cold, but in another month and a half I will be able to --
though I have forgotten some of the original names, most can be
identified fairly readily.
