Teresa, I grow it in Zone 9, in the foothills above Los Angeles. We get
temperatures down to freezing, but not much lower than 30 degrees, and then
only for a few days at a time.
It is easy to propagate by cutting, however, so you could take cuttings at
the end of the season. I had a four inch pot plant grow to the size of a 3
foot tall by 3 foot wide bush in one season.
The arching violet-blue flowers are wonderful. It blooms spring and fall here.
